The TV drama series, Dexter, has been adapted from a novel, Darkly Dreaming Dexter, written by Stephen R. Pastore. Michael Hall has brilliantly played the role of Dexter who works in the police department at daytime and is a serial killer by night. He had been adopted by Harry Morgan, a police officer, when he lost his parent at the age of three. Dexter started killing pets in the neighborhood at a very early age and as he grows the urge to kill becomes compulsive. Harry Morgan had noticed the tendency and had taught him to follow ‘The Code’, according to which the victims should be killers themselves so that there was some justification in his killings. The engrossing drama of cat and mouse between serial killers has kept the audiences captivated since 5 years and even now the series is being watched by millions of viewers worldwide.

I just dont have words to describe the show, it was so good that it made me find the book and read it. It turned out that the show is ten times better than the book. The book was boring, slow and nothing like the show, the show has more characters, which are more sophisticated and it really grabs you.
