A good storyline, a good cast, action, humour, drama – Greys Anatomy has it all. Writer, Shonda Rhimes has done a great job in keeping the show fresh and interesting with each new season. The different characters and the way their lives are interwoven, their approach to their medical work, are all seamlessly put together. Meredith Gray is the main character in the serial. Her mother is in the hospital suffering from advanced Alzheimer’s disease, and this is a mental burden Meredith carries around with her. Dr. Derek Shepherd is Meredity’s romantic connection in the show. Cristina Yang is Meredith’s best friend, who is always out to prove herself. Other characters like Izzie Stevens, George O’Malley, and Alex Karey, all put in a good performance. Miranda Bailey, a skilled doctor in charge of the interns, is also one to watch. The show brings in a lot of different types of patients, some of whom test their doctors to the limit. While successful treatment is the norm, failures are also portrayed, with some of the interns still on the learning curve. Set in Seattle Grace Hospital, the series is very believable, and many of the cases shown, hit so close to home.

A hospital drama that includes, life, death, romance, personal struggles, even some humour. Seattle Grace Hospital is the background for all this action. A group of doctors and interns start out each day, to face the medical challenges that come their way. Not an easy task, and not always successful. Added to this, they have to cope with their own personal issues, and relations that build up with each other. Shonda Rhimes, the writer, has managed to make each season appear fresh and interesting. With a spew of different medical cases coming up for treatment – from cancer, to abortions, to Alzheimer’s – the stories are realistically portrayed, and hit close to home. The patients in the show, too, are given roles which test their physicians to the limit. The interns on the learning curve are made out to be human, often making errors in judgment. Greys Anatomy has something for everybody.

Greys Anatomy is a believable show. From its well selected cast, to the medical topics it covers, there are no dull moments. The drama takes place in Seattle Grace Hospital. The story is about a group of doctors, their lives, their careers, and their interaction with each other. Each episode brings in new cases, and dwells on how the doctors react to, and handle the same. The life and death situations and how the medical staff handles the same, is an eye opener. Success is not always achieved, as interns are involved and it is a learning curve for them. The writer, Shonda Rhimes has managed to keep the show fresh, and give each season something interesting, for the viewer.

A great show to watch. Greys Anatomy has it all – good drama, good cast, and portrays some good medical cases. The medical staff is given roles where one literally gets to know and appreciate each one, individually. The surgeries covered in each episode are made out to look so complicated; it keeps one on the edge of the seat, waiting to see the outcome. The writer, Shonda Rhimes, has done a great job – with each season she brings fresh and interesting episodes, and weaves the personal lives of each character into the story. This is a show that can make you laugh as well as cry.
